Do I have any legal rights if I was mistaken about when my lease expired but my landlord failed to inform me of my mistake until it was too late?
I though my lease expired a month earlier than it did and emailed my landlord specifically stating that I would be moving out when my lease expired on this date. My landlord acknowledged receipt of the email and asked why I was moving and if he could do anything that would make me sign a new lease but did not inform me of my mistake and now want to charge me for the last month’s rent after I moved.

The landlord is not obligated to correct your mistake as to the duration or terms of your lease, and you are obligated to the duration and terms of the lease you signed. If your lease obligated you to pay another month's rent, that's what you have to do. People are legally presumed to have read, understood, and agreed to what they sign.
