Do I have any recourse for being abused at work?

A co-worker verbally and phisically abused me at work. There were no witnesses so she got away with it.

You have the same rights in the workplace as you would is anyone else on the street just hit you as well: to file criminal charges.  In the workplace you may even have additional protections through the human resources department.  But you need to report the incident and reporting it AFTER the fact can have a negative effect on the outcome.  But I am not saying NOT to report it.  I am saying the sooner the better.  Go to your human resources department or your manager or wherever you file reports and file one.  The fact that there are not witnesses does not really matter. It is your word against hers.  Credibility and reputation may come in to effect.  You can also file at your local police station. Good luck.
