Do I have to pay for repairs to the sewer system on a rented lot?
The landlord sent me a notice that I needed to pay for lateral lines and rock. I have sewer running every time we shower or do laundry. The landlord demanded we stop doing laundry until the problem is fixed and she said she would have the digging done but I would have pay for lines and rock and install them. Can she do this?

I suggest that you carefully read your presumed written lease for the rental that you have. If the lease says nothing about you having to pay for the defective sewer system, you do not have to. The reason is that the terms of the presumed written lease control the obligations between you and the landlord.
