If you were getting the training from a third-party vendor or program or school, you have to pay for the training even if the person quit before completion, unless the terms under which purchased or arranged for the training specifically allow you a refund (full or partial) under these circumstances. Otherwise, when the trainer is ready and willing to provide training and it is the trainer who stops taking the class, the trainer is still entitled to be paid.
