Does my husband have to physically be at a real estate closing or can he sign papers via fax?

Siblings are selling parent’s house that they inherited at time of death. Do all 4 siblings have to be present at closing or can papers be signed via fax?

Good question. The documents needing to be signed in order to close the escrow on the sale of the real property can be signed well in advance of the slated close date.

Once signed, the paperwork can then be scanned and e mailed, faxed or better yet overnighted to the escrow company. There is no requirement that all four (4) siblings need to be actually present at escrow to sign the needed paper work.
