Father died leaving insurance proceeds to me and my sister

Sister and I both named on fathers insurance…however, sister died after our
father and before Met Life contacted us about his policy.
I am Administrator of her/sisters estate and the only asset she had was this
insurance from our father.
Who gets this money? She was married and had no will. We live in West Virginia.

When a beneficiary of a life insurance predeceases the insured, the insurance company will determine if there is a co-beneficiary named in the policy. If there is, then the proceeds are paid to the surviving beneficiary.
