What can I do if I am a 25 year old Turkish citizen and would like to apply for a political asylum?
Turkey has a compulsory military system and I my belief does not allow me to even think about hurting others. I do not believe in compulsory military service and I would be jailed if I voiced my opinion in Turkey. I received an e-mail from the Turkish Embassy that I need to go through a check up for the process. I do not want to go to jail. I want to live my life as a free man. I fear the government.

Seeking asylum requires strict requirements:
- You are unable or unwilling to return to your home country because you have been persecuted there in the past or have a well-founded fear that you will be persecuted if you go back.
- The reason you have been (or will be) persecuted is connected to one of five things: your race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or your political opinion.
I would speak with an immigration attorney asap.
