What to do if my previous company only paid us once a month?
I read somewhere that my state requires an employer to pay at least twice a month. Also, they required we work 9 hour days and said that was calculated within our salary. Lastly I was in sales, they changed commission structures a lot but the last straw was when they cut my salary 33% and to raise commission structure to reflect it. Unfortunately the commission didn’t equate to as much as I was making before the salary cut. These pay cuts have made me late in bills and have influenced me to change to a new opportunity but I still am recovering from them until this day.

Under California Labor Code section 204, non-exempt employees must be paid twice a month. If you're a non-exempt employee and have not signed an explicit agreement, you're probably not being paid appropriately. Please give me a call (213-381-6557) or send me an email ([email protected]) if you would like to discuss the matter further.
All the best,
Ari
