How can an ex-spouse be legally served divorce papers if she is in another state?

What legal methods are there for serving her; we would like to mail her the forms registered mail since it’s in another state?

You can have a process server serve your ex-spouse.  Select a process server who is in the same city as your ex-spouse (to reduce the cost) or a nearby city serve her with your documents.  After she has been served, file the proof of service with the court where your divorce was filed.

It would not be advisable to serve by mail because she might not pick up the mail or respond to it and nothing will have been accomplished as far as service of process is concerned.

You can find process servers listed in the Yellow Pages or online under attorney services.
