You could file a lawsuit for breach of contract against the company because you are a third party beneficiary of the contract between the cable installer and the apartment building management company. A third party beneficiary is one who is to receive performance from a contract between other parties. As a third party beneficiary, you were not a signatory to the contract but you can enforce your rights under the contract (having the satellite connection fixed) by filing a lawsuit for breach of contract. Generally, a third party beneficiary can sue either or both parties to the contract. In your present case, it does not appear that your apartment management company is in breach of contract and therefore your lawsuit for breach of contract should be against the cable company.
