How do I get my $10,000 deposit back on a motorhome?

I can’t get a loan to pay off the $22,000 left on the motorhome. After a year I’ve put $10,000 down. I decided not to purchase the unit, they have re-listed it for sale. They will not give my deposit back. No where on the paperwork does it state I will get a credit not a refund. How to I get my money back?

You might not be able to get the deposit back. Deposits are only refundable if--

1) The terms of the sale or other transaction specifically allow you to seek a refund; you should review any contract of sale or other documents;

2) The seller lied or misrepresented in some material, or important, way in order to get you to agree to the transaction and put down the deposit.

3) The seller breached or violated the terms of the transaction or sale in some material, or important, way.

Apart from the above, deposits are generally not refundable, especially  when the the problem is that the buyer is unable or unwilling to consummate or conclude the sale.
