How do I relinquish rights to a peice of property that was given to me?

My grandfather gave me an acre of land when he passed away, however I want to relinquish my rights. How would I do that?

A quitclaim deed will release your entire right, title, and interest in the property to another individual.
The quitclaim deed is signed in the presence of a notary.
The quitclaim deed becomes effective upon being recorded (filed with the County Recorder's office).
