Hi I was sent home from work on February
19. I wrote an email to my direct supervisor
saying ‘management needs to help us or shut
the hell up.’ We are a department of 3 there
was 8. HR said that they would be reviewing
my case with management and they would let
me know when I could come back or be
terminated. They call every couple of days
saying that they haven’t decided yet. I can’t
wait forever and not get paid

Actually, unless this action violates a union agreement or employment contract or breaches company policy, it is legal. Also, your suspension must not contitute legal discrimination. Otherwise, being placed on adminstrative leave is not illegal. As for how long it can last, there really isn't any time limit to such a suspension.
