How to handle a settlement breach in ADA case?
I reached a settlement with my former employer in an ADA case. Part of the settlement is W-2 compensation. I was asked for a W4 which I provided, and yet the check which has my new address, has large unexplained withholdings. I ask my attorney to dispute the check, they cashed theirs and claimed this was a tax issue. I called the office of the Magistrate Judge, but they won’t speak without both parties present. What options do I have to address this issue? The settlement agreement stipulates only Fed, State, Local and Social Security could be withheld. I am at a loss on how to proceed?

You need to contact your attorney and ask them if they can look into this. Your attorney should be able to contact the former employer and request a more detailed breakdown of the payment and the withholdings. All this will take on your attorney's part is a simple letter-- It shouldn't pose that much of a problem.
