You do not give any details so answering this question isn't possible other than to say that if you are facing a felony conviction you absolutely need to get an attorney ASAP.  Getting a charge reduced down is certainly possible but your lawyer can best consult you on your specific case.  Just know that if you have a previously clean record this will go a long way in any argument to reduce down the charge; if you a  criminal history obviously this will hurt your changes.  But again not having all the facts makes it impossible to say for sure.
