If I accepted a full-time position at a hospital but the shift schedule has changed, do I have any legal recourse against my employer?

The position was created for me as 3/12 hour shifts per week. Now my employer says they are changing it to 2/12 hour shifts and 2/8 hour shifts per week. I can’t work 4 nights per week.

No, you do not have any legal resource unless you had a written employment contract specifying or guarantying your hours--if you did, you can sue to enforce the contract, if necessary. Without a written employment contract, however, as part of the doctrine of "employment at will," your employer has complete discretion over the days, hours, and shifts of your employment, and can change your days, hours, and shifts at will.
