If I’m 3 months late in paying my rent and have a court date soon, if I don’t show up what are the consequences?

I am planning to move out soon in a week anyway so not sure if I must go to court.

If you fail to show up at the upcoming eviction proceeding there is a very good chance that a default judgment and an order of possession will be issued against you. The default judgment could be for a dollar amount concerning rent owed. I suggest that you try and resolve the dispute with your landlord without having to go to court.
