You can pay the taxes in full, or work out a payment plan with the government to settle the matter--it would have to be acceptable to the government, since it's voluntary on the government's part to let you pay over time, but if the government does accept the plan, that will stop the foreclosure. There really aren't any other options: bankruptcy will not discharge tax debts or prevent foreclosure for such debts--at most, it may temporarily delay matters while the government files some paperwork, but the only way to long-term stop the foreclosure is to address the tax debt and either pay or settle it.
