What to do if my I have been put out of the house by my partner and she is threatening police action if I try and return?

I am not married to the woman I once lived together with and we purchased a home that I pay the morgage on. We have now split up and she put me out of the home stating to never return or police will be called for spousal abuse. We also have joint bank accounts and I’ve been given 2 hours to get all my belongings out. Everything in the home belong to me and I can’t remove things in the timeframe given. What can I do from here?

Given the unfortunate situation that you now find yourself in I suggest that you consult with a family law attorney as to the best way to proceed. If title to the home is solely in your name, you should be able to file an eviction action against your partner. At a minimum, a family law attorney should be able to protect your interests so as to allow you to retrieve your possessions if need be.
