How do I file for my green card?

I am on L1 visa and my wife on L2 visa. I have been working in US with the same company since last 1 1/2 years. I want to know how can I get a green card? What would be the procedure and cost for that? Can I file myself for my green card or will my employers have to file? What shall I do if my employers are not ready to apply for my green card?

You will have to have your employers petition for your green card if the job you are being offered is a fulltime permanent position in the US.  You are not able to self-petition.  Depending on what type of L-1 you have (L-1A or L-1B) and whether or not your position with the company abroad was a managerial/executive position or not, you may qualify for a multinational manager classification for the green card or have to go through the standard labor certification route.
