If your concert production company will only be based out of one state in this country for business purposes but may do some work in another on a limited basis, you probably should register your company as an out of state company doing business in the other state with the second state's secretary of state's office.
The problem is that if you do not do so, many states have statutes stating that entities not registered to do business in a particular state cannot bring a lawsuit or defend one if it is not authorized to do business in it.
To be sure, I would contact a representative of the other state's secretary of state's office.
