What to do if I backed into a car in a parking lot and the owner agreed to settle without involving insurance companies but she filed a claim anyway?

She said that she would not file a claim so that my rates would not increase. I agreed to pay for the bumper replacement but she then filed a claim with my insurer. She hasn’t collected payment from my insurance company and agreed to drop the claim if I paid for the bumper. I want to know if there is a form releasing me from liability that I should have her sign upon payment so that she does not then seek further compensation from my insurance company.

There is a general release of liability which both parties sign upon payment of the settlement to prevent either party from suing the other in the future. You can obtain this form at the law library.  Ask the law librarian to help you find it.
