If you want to bring a lawsuit against the seller of your home for misrepresentation before you purchased the unit that it was on city sewer but you just realized that it was on septic after a passage of ten (10) years, you unfortunately are time barred from bringing any action against the seller due to your state's statute of limitations.
Most statute of limitations have a time period to bring suit of four (4) years or less in a real estate transaction.
