I dont understand this document
My stepfather died and he had property that was sold. Now his son wants me to sign a piece of paper before he gives me the check for my part. However, I do not no what this document means they have threatened i would not get a penny. I won’t sign it until I know what I’m signing.

And you are absolutely correct. Bring the papers you have to an attorney to review. ANd take a look at the Probate file and see what the Will says and what is going on. It is a public record. He can threaten you all he wants and if he continues to do so consider a Petitoon to remove his as fiduciary. Good luck.
