If I got into an auto accident last night but didn’t have insurance or a registration, what do I do?

The girl had about $1300 in damages and she’s suing me for non-payment. I get general relief which isn’t much since I’m not working right now.

If you were at fault in the accident (such as if you were driving negligently, or carelessly), the you are liable, or responsible, for her costs and other losses or damages. If you do not pay, she can sue you, as she evidently is. If you were at fault, you will presumbly lose the case. Because you do not have insurance, you'd have to pay out of pocket. However, your income, general relief, may not be something that she can garnish; on the other hand, a judgment against you is good for many years, so she could try to recover from you in the future, at which time she may also be able to collect interest from you.
