What to do if I have a felony and am currently in 1 year into a 3 year term probation but need to leave the country?
My grandpa is about to die in Mexico. I need to ask the judge for permission but is taking longer than I expected. I know if that if I leave, I will be violating my probation. What will be the consequences if I go without permission? Will I be arrested at the border?

If you are on probation and need to leave your state for the reasons you have written about I would contact your probation officer for permission in writing to leave for a short time to Mexico. If permission in writing is not given by probation, then you should not leave your state of residence.
