What to do regarding extradition and fugitive recovery?
I shoplifted a $12 DVD, so the state enhanced a Class C midameanor to a state jail felony. I’m done stealing since I received an inheritance with a lot of money. I know that id you do the crime you must do the time. I left the state so will there be taskforce after me? Am I safe outside the state? Would they chase after me or extradite me? I have the lowest felony, a state jail felony. I haven’t even been convicted just indicted. Do counties have bars or guidelines on which felony warrants dserve priority attention?

Hello. You should privately confer with a local criminal defense attorney who will advise you. Some attorneys are available seven days for emergency legal needs. Many attorneys will confer initially at no charge. Then, if legal work is performed, some attorneys will provide a reduced fee for financial hardship. Some attorneys may also assist you in limited scope manner to conserve legal costs. All the best.
