Are you registered as domestic partners in Oregon? That may or may not matter under the case law that is developing in your state. But registered domestic partnerships have to be dissolved just like traditional marriages in your state. Now, asset distribution is decided by the court by looking in to what they believe is the "intent" of the parties. Generally they believe that the partners are co-tenants under the law with a 50/50 right to the property. Please speak with an attorney as to your specific situation. Good luck.
