No. If you are under a lease for a home and have been rent, the landlord is required to serve you with proper notice (a thirty day notice) of eviction per code or a three day notice to pay or quit.
The landlord must go though proper process per state statute to have you evicted. Eighteen hours to vacate is not proper notice. If you have further questions concerning you situation, you should consult a landlord tenant attorney. Good luck.
