i have to go to a hearing for a restraing order, can it affect a partition to divide our 50/50 owned RV?

I got served notice for a hearing for a restraining order for domestic violence. It is bogus, as I have been the one getting verbal abuse. We own out right a RV worth approx 50k and I am concerned that it could affect me getting my half interest out of it. I plan to find a way to file a partition, but I dont know the legal consequences. Help please?

Your claim will not be affected. A DV case and a case regarding the division of assets are totally seperate things. Since one has nothing to do witht he other, you need not worry (at least about the asset division)

No, a domestic violence (DV) case has nothing to do with ownership of property/assets or entitlement to the equity or value in it. The one has nothing to do with the other, so this will not affect your partition claim.
