If I just learned that a parent whom I’ve never known died, how do I find out if there was a Will or if I am entitled to anything from the estate?
The parent never re-married after divorcing my other parent. I know no one in that parent’s family.

I am so sorry for the situation. If there was a Will then it would be offered for probate in the county in which the person legally resided at the time of his death. Even if no Will then an Administration proceeding could possibly be filed and the intestacy laws in the state will govern distribution of the estate. Good luck.
