Can I call an exterminator and deduct it from my rent?
I live with my husband and 2 year old child. We are living in a building that is condo owned. We have notified our landlord of mice and roaches for 4 months. We have put Borax and sugar to help rid of the roaches and mouse traps for the mice. Our landlord recently called an exterminator for the mice but has done nothing in regards to the roaches. My son almost stepped on a dead roach this afternoon barefooted. I’m worried he may find one and put it in his mouth. What can I do to make my landlord get rid of them?

The best way to get the problem resolved is to call your local health department for an inspection of the unit you are renting. If the unit gets cited by the health department then the landlord will be forced poste haste to get the problem with the vermin resolved.
