I am so sorry for your situation. It is my understanding that once served with a Colorado writ of garnishment - which is issued under Colorado State law if a judgement is rendered against you - your bank is required by law to turn over your account to the creditor. The only way to stop the garnishment is to pay off the debt or to file bankruptcy. That account has been flagged. If the funds in the account werere protected you should have filed something for that (like Social Security benefits). Please get help. Good luck.
