If I own a house with an inground swimming pool and have decided to rent out rooms in my home, what is my liability?
What if my roommates are injured? What if they have guests over to enjoy the pool and an injury occures?

Under the laws of all states in this country if a person gets injured with respect to the inground swimming pool at your home due to your negligence, you are liable for the damages. Usually a cover and/or a fence is required at a minimum. I suggest you consult with your insurance agent for the home, have him or her look at the pool and get a policy of insurance in an adequate amount to protect you in the event of an injury or drowning from the pool.
