If I own a small outside storage compound for autos, boats and RV’s, do I have any liability for a stolen item?

I provide fencing and lights. Owners are told they must carry there own insurance.

You potentially are liable to the extent you are at fault in some way. For example, if you forget to lock up one night and that's when things are stolen; if a lock is defective and you know it's defective, but do not repair it; if you hire an employee who acts suspiciously, but even after he acts suspiciously, you continue to employ him/her; etc. If you are negligent (unreasonably careless), you can be liable for any losses caused by that negligence.
