If I paid a dance studio tuition in advance but had to pull my daughter out, is it legal not to receive a refund?
I pulled her out due to issues with the studio owners. I requested a refund of the advanced tuition paid. They say there are no refunds. I never signed a contract that states that or given any paperwork stating a no refund policy.

They do not need to tell you that there is no refund: the "default" or norm is that there are no refunds if the customer/client cannot or chooses not to keep using the facilities or services. You write that you pulled your daughter out; therefore, they are allowed to keep what you paid. Only if they had a written refund policy and you complied with all terms or requirements thereof would you be allowed to get a refund.
