What to do if I purchased a beauty salon a year ago but for the past several months I have not been able to pay the rent?

The landlord has emailed me a letter requesting we turn over the keys and leave all the salon equipment within 7 days. Is there anything I can do to stop her?

I suggest that you first meet with the landlord to try and reach some agreement to catch up on the back rent owed for the salon that you occupy. If you cannot reach an accord, I suggest that you consult with a landlord tenant attorney to see what can be accomplished in working out some arrangement with the landlord.
