What can I do if I quit my place of work last year but since then employees from the establishment have told multiple people that I was fired?
I have proof I quit. I wondered if I could make a case against them as they’ve made slanderous statements against my character? I have multiple witnesses who will attest to being told this.

In one sense, you may have a defamation case: if, as you say, their statements that you were fired is untrue, they did make an untrue statement of fact which would tend to damage your reputation.
In another sense, though, unless you suffered some damage or injury due to this--such as not being able to be hired for a new job, because of the statements that you were fired--you may not have a viable case. That is because the law provides compensation for actual injuries or losses; unless you can show some negative effect from these statements, you may not be able to recover enough money to justify a lawsuit.
