What can happen to me regarding a verbal assault?
I ran into a lady that I do not care for. She is a teacher at my childs school. In the past she has told me that I’m not a very good father. Well today I confronted her at the grocery store. She told me that she does not talk to stupid uneducated people. So I called her a **** Asian **** and left. I just received a phone call and she called the cops. What kind of trouble could I be facing. I have never been arrested; I’m retired military.

You are not in any trouble. Don't even worry about it.
Assault requires intentionally placing one in reasonable apprehension of an immediate battery (harmful or offensive physical contact) without consent or legal privilege. Unless she can claim that she was in reasonable apprehension of an immediate battery, she has no case.
