What to do if I want to divorce my abusive husband but the house is in my name and I know without making the payments it will go into default?

I have recordings of his drunken rants and mental abuse. What should I do or what would be my best option?

I am so sorry for our situation.  Staying in an abusive relationship is never the right option.  Is your concern for the house because you do not think that he will pay his end of the mortgage because it is in your name?  If the house was purchased during the marriage then it is marital property and both of your responsibilities.  If you file for divorce you will file for temporary support and you should also make sure that the bills are paid.  Please get some help here.  Good luck.
