During the investigation my home was searched by the FBI and I was taken in for questioning. I was fingerprinted and swabbed for DNA, etc. I was never charged in the investigation nor was I contacted again after being questioned.

Based upon what you have written about, since you were never arrested for any crime then there should be no public record of the situation that you have written about to be picked up in a background check of you. I suggest that you order a background check of yourself to see what pops up.
