If you received a civil demand from the store owner for something that you shoplifted and which you paid, there is always the possibility that the district attorney's office could file charges against you where a summons and criminal complaint could be served upon you concerning the incident that you write about.
If that happens, I recommend that you consult with a criminal defense attorney about the situation. In hindsight, you should have consulted with an attorney before paying the civil demand that you received making sure that by the payment all future claims against you would end over the incident.
