How can I best defend against a charge of DUI?
I was charged with a dui and a simple assault after my fiancé and I got into an argument. They never read me my rights. They made me walk a staright line where there was no visible line. There are multiple mistakes on the reports. The times are different when they happened together and they put the wrong color of my car down. Is this means for dismissal?

They only have to read your rights when you are in custody and being interrogated. Failure to do so, may result in the exclusion from trial of statements made during this interrogation. Your attorney will make a motion to suppress and they may have a pre-trial hearing on the issue. The other mistakes may help an experienced criminal defense attorney get an acquittal at trial but they are by no means sufficient to dismiss the criminal action. Hire a good lawyer ASAP.
