What to do if I was fired from my place of work for theft?
I signed a document to repay the amount that I had stolen. The police were not called. But at the end the loss prevention said that they would be filing with the police. What happens next? Do the police come an arrest me?

I suggest that based upon the facts that you have written that you consult with a criminal defense attorney for help. It appears that given the document that you signed you are now precluded from seeking unemployment benefits. Whether or not a criminal complaint will be filed against you remains to be seen.
