If I was in a car accident 5 days ago and it was the other person’s fault, what are my rights if i am still in pain?

I am still in pain 5 days later. I did not go to the doctor; I was hoping I would recover in a couple days. I now think that I should see a doctor, am now I worried that I have waited too long for the other person’s insurance to cover it.

No, you haven't waited too long but don't wait any longer to go to a doctor.  The longer you wait the more the insurance company will argue that you got a new injury in the meantime.

You should also think about hiring a lawyer right away so the lawyer can get working on your case early.

You should see a doctor tomorrow since your pain has persisted. Also, if you wait any longer, you will have a problem convincing the insurance company you were injured in the accident. How much is the damage to your car?
