How much I should ask for or expect in a settlement?
I was in a car accident 6 months ago and up until this month was under a chiropractor’s care until my insurance company, along with their IME, decided to end my benefits. I have now started the process for settlement with the other party’s insurance company for pain and suffering.

There is no easy answer: "pain and suffering" is a very subjective amount, which varies with the facts--the extent and duration of your injury, the impairment you suffered, etc. For a very rough rule of thumb, it will often range between 1 and 3 times your medical expenses, but you would only be entitled to it in the first place for injuries that had a significant negative effect on your life for months or longer.
