What to do if I was cited for an accident?
I was involved in a car accident. Another driver slammed into my rear passenger side bumper as I was backing out of my driveway. The police issued me a citation for improper backing and the other driver was taken to jail for driving without a license. What is my recourse?

Your recourse is to consult with an attorney who represents people in traffic court so as to contest the traffic citation and hopefully defense the charge against you. In the meantime, you should also place your insurance carrier on notice of the incident if you have not done so already.
