If there was some driver other than yourself who was at fault (since only at fault people are liable, or financially responsible, for another's injuries or costs), you could sue him or her for the money. If the amount is less than the limit for your state's small claims court, suing in small claims, as your own attorney ("pro se") is a fast, cost effective option.
