The officer told me to appear in criminal court. I am planning to go to the court on Tuesday but do I need a lawyer and what is the worst case scenario?

Hello. You should speak with an attorney about this matter. In some circumstances, there may be a criminal defense attorney with whom you can speak when you are at court. Some attorneys are available seven days for emergency legal needs. Many attorneys will speak initially at no charge. Then, if legal work is performed, some attorneys will provide a reduced fee for financial hardship. Some attorneys may also assist you in a limited scope manner to conserve legal costs. All the best.
