Is there a statute of limitations for filing criminal charges when the checks were written over 8 years ago?
I wrote a few bad checks for less than $150. I just received a letter from the DA stating that if I don’t pay them by today that a warrant would be issued for my arrest.

There is a five year statute of limitations in Oklahoma for filing criminal charges for bad checks.
Since more than five years have elapsed, the statute of limitations has tolled (expired) and it is too late for criminal charges to be filed in this matter. You can assert the statute of limitations as your defense.
